Academic Probation Policy
Students must achieve satisfactory academic performance each semester. Satisfactory performance means that students must maintain a term GPA of 2.0 or higher. Failure to do so results in the student being placed on Academic Probation. Students on Academic Probation must achieve minimum 2.0 term GPA in their subsequent semester return to good academic standing.
Please note that students on academic probation will be restricted from enrolling in certain subjects and cannot apply for ‘Course Overload’ until they have achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Any student with more than three occurrences of being placed on academic probation during their course of study will be required to withdraw from studies at Fraser International College.
Your AP status will be disclosed to Canadian Immigration and you may not return to FIC until satisfactory results (at least one semester with minimum 80% attendance) can be obtained from another institution.
If you feel you are off track academically, please see any advisor immediately to learn about the resources available to you and how we can support your studies.
