Scholarships and Awards

HONOUR ROLL

A limited number of students will be admitted each term to the Honour Roll, on the basis of excellent work completed in the previous term. This award will be recorded in the student file and used for letters of reference. Admission to the honour roll requires that the student

  • must have completed a minimum of 12 academic units in the semester being evaluated
  • must achieve a minimum semester grade point average (SGPA) of 3.70 calculated on all

normally graded courses completed in the term being evaluated
Students will be automatically recognized if they achieve the criteria for Honour Roll status. Students will receive a certificate of their achievement and be invited to a celebratory reception the following semester.

PRINCIPAL’S HONOUR ROLL

A limited number of students will be admitted each term to the Principal’s Honour Roll, mainly on the basis of excellent work completed in the previous year. This award will be recorded in the student file and used for letters of reference. Admission to the honour roll requires that the student

  • must have completed a minimum of 30 units at Fraser International College by the end of the term being evaluated
  • must have completed at least 9 units in the term being evaluated

must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.00 calculated on all normally graded courses completed in the term being evaluated
Students will be automatically recognized if they achieve the criteria for Principal’s Honour Roll status. Students will receive a certificate of achievement and be invited to a celebratory reception the following semester.

FACULTY AWARD

If you transferred to SFU in September of 2019 you are eligible to apply for the FIC Faculty Award bursary. This is a $750 bursary that is funded by FIC instructors to support academically successful students who are engaged in the community.

Students who have transferred to SFU are eligible for this $750 bursary by submitting an application available through the link below.

Please also take the time to fill out the FIC Graduate Survey for students who have completed their program at FIC.

To be considered, please complete the application by the application deadline: 11:59pm on Friday, January 31, 2020.

TEACHING AWARD

Every semester, FIC recognizes excellence in teaching through the FIC Teaching Award. Instructors are nominated by their students. If you have an instructor who has made a difference in your life, you can nominate them for the FIC Teaching Award as a way to thank them for all their hard work!
